SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS of BEAUREGARD ADVENTURE PARK
1. Welcome to Beauregard Adventure Park
2. You should now have been provided with
your own safety equipment. Have you had it checked
by a member of the staff?
3. Your equipment should consist of a harness,
two safety ropes, with an auto-locking karabiner at
the end of each, and on your right a pulley attached
to a third safety rope (equipment demonstration)
4. You will start with the orange circuit (introductory
circuit to check full understanding of the
instructions), after which you will be free to
proceed on your own onto various circuits colour
coded from green (easiest) through red, to black (most
difficult).
5. You will proceed from tree to tree, always
secured by your karabiners to a cable which is
called your ‘lifeline’.
6. When the cable has a RED mark on it, you
must attach both karabiners onto it. If there are
two cables, attach one karabiner to each one. It is
very important, during your passage from tree to
tree to change cables one karabiner at a time, so as
to ensure that you are always attached to the
lifeline by at least one karabiner (demonstration).
7. When the cable has a yellow mark, you must
attach the pulley you have with you to it (demonstration).
Once the pulley is attached, you put your karabiners
into it and then you can let yourself slide down the
cable. Catch the netting or run along the ground to
stop yourself upon arrival.
- Careful! Only begin your slide once the person
before you is finished and out of your way
- For some slides, you have to pull yourself up onto
a platform using a rope.
8. For red and black circuits only : when you
ascend, there will be a small red rope. Pull this
and attach yourself to the ring (marked in red) with
both your karabiners. This safety device works like
a car seatbelt to stop you falling (demonstration).
9. Reminder :
1) on the cables : marked in red : both karabiners
on the cable
2) yellow marker: attach the pulley onto the cable
and then both your karabiners into it
3) small red rope : pull and attach yourself to the
red marked ring (red and black circuits only)
10. Maximum of 3 people per platform, and 2
per obstacle.
11. After the orange circuit, you will
continue on your own, taking full responsibility for
your actions. (adult on the ground MUST keep on eye
on the children) We reserve the right to remove from
the circuit any individual who does not respect the
safety instructions.
BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN !
